We were married on June 29, 2003, in the beautiful state of Hawaii. Like many couples, we weren't really sure if video was something we wanted, or if we could even fit it into our budget. Eventually, we decided to go ahead and hire a videographer, and it changed our lives forever. The video quickly became our favorite part of our wedding, and we found ourselves watching it over and over again. We were so grateful that we had made the decision to squeeze it into our very small budget.
Fast forward to a little over a year later to the birth of our daughter, Kylie. Neither of us wanted to go back to our "real jobs", so we started thinking of what we could do to start our own business, so we could be home more. It didn't take long for us to realize that wedding videography was the perfect fit for what we wanted. Not only did we have a strong interest in video (we never left home without our video camera), but we also loved weddings.
Before we bought our first professional camera, we worked on how we wanted to run our business. Our company has always been first and foremost about service. We believe very strongly in providing the best possible service to our clients at all times. Every phone call and email should be returned as quickly as possible, no matter what. Nothing bothers us more than having someone take forever to answer a question, so we do the best we can to never have that happen with our couples. We believe in listening to our clients, and trying to give them what THEY want, as opposed to what we think they should have.
After establishing our business strategy, we went to work. We went to classes and seminars, read books, and listened to fellow vendors to gain expertise. As a result, it was a pretty smooth transition into the industry. More importantly, we had a blast being a part of it. Nothing beats getting paid to do something you love, and we are so blessed to be able to do just that.
In the years that followed, Video 21 Productions has expanded quite a bit. Aside from weddings, we also shoot graduations, dance recitals, sporting events, and more. However, our philosophy of how we do business has never changed. That is truly the secret to our success.
In December 2010, we welcomed our son Jordan into the world. Although having two kids and a business keeps us constantly busy, we love every second of it.
